Hello!!!
Estelle was really happy to be at the Gym today. She ran bog laps with Maria outside the gym before their session, about 8 “high-speed” rounds with continuous chatter. And that really took out quite a bit of her energy. Hahaha

And once inside, she was bouncing, bouncing, bouncing…

Here’s a photo of Estelle drawing circles with the ribbons.

Here’s Estelle doing some monkey tricks on the swing… she was barely in the seat for 3 seconds before demanding to get off. Looks like the charm of these swings are losing their effect on her. Luckily there were teachers around to watch her on the other equipment in the Gym.

And we say a fond farewell to Teacher Greta… she’s heading back for home. She was the first person we spoke to when I was interested in a trial at MyGym. And she and Teacher Ubin (he left for a another job a while back.) had taken a really keen interest in Estelle. Greta and I spent some time reminiscing, I can’t believe how time flies. We wish her the best in all that she does.
Estelle and Ethan have been moved to the Thursday Playgroup at MyGym. This group has kids who are closer to age 3 rather than 2, and are more involved with the activities and with the teachers.
And for the first time… I think my darling Estelle has slowly become a preschooler rather than just a toddler.
The first quarter of an hour was still pretty much madness, kids hopping and jumping and doing heaps of stuff around the gym during free time. A lot rowdier and a lot chirpier.
But when it was circle time, all of them sat down and engaged with the teachers, followed instructions. And during Story Time, they asked questions, fought to be the first to answer questions and to identify the objects in the books… altogether a more mature and vocal bunch.

There wasn’t any clingy whimpering young ‘uns, and no run-off-and-do-my-own-thing toddlers, and instead of merely tolerating each other during play time, they actually talked to each other and sang songs together! I even caught Estelle asking a boy for his drum, and the boy later exchanged it for Estelle’s xylophone.
But of course, Estelle still prefers cousin Ethan… Spot the difference. These photos were barely 5 seconds apart.
Ethan Kor kor is going to be joining Estelle’s playgroup! Hooray!
This is his first session… other than the slight apprehension when he first started, Ethan soon joined in the fun and even tried to take over Estelle’s position as the teachers’ pet! Hahahaha.

Ah Ma was a ball of nerves… preferring to hang around on the bench outside MyGym so that she could spy on the kids. But even she soon determined that the kids were having a wonderful time… and she consented to do some NTUC shopping.
This morning…

Yipeee
More of Estelle’s friends from the other playgroup also moved on to the older class on Wednesday! Estelle was quite pleased to see Gaileen and Caitlin.
Didn’t manage to take any photos of the water session…
But YES, once again, she was the first one to get in and the last one to get out…
THE Jinz is here! Estelle was very happy… contributing to the much later afternoon nap… “dunwan to sleep! Shark shark Ah Yee, lie down here!” Apparently the Jinz hasn’t seen Estelle for 22 days! Anyway, the LQ will be pleased to hear that Estelle has been asking for her the whole morning.
“Where’s Ah Yee?” and “Ah Yee go home” (which is Estelle-speak for “come home”).
We’re off to dinner at Hanabi tonight with the Wenz too. Yipee. Kaz couldn’t manage to find the time to get up here, so we’ll pop by her place before dinner. Got Audrey this from Aussino.
