Botannical Gardens

And I quote Estelle… “What fun!”
Summer came over for a playdate and it was great fun. We sang “Incy Wincy Spider”, made spiders out of playdoh and straws…

And for our teabreak? Papaya! (I know it’s not really related to the theme…)
Posting frequency has been pretty slack on this blog… but I have a good excuse! We were sick nearly the whole of last week.
DaddyO (the main culprit once more…) was getting the aches over the weekend, but after some rest on Monday, he was fine and dandy…. BUT Estelle had running nose by Monday evening.
Then it got pretty crazy! Estelle had running nose, so I gave her some medicine, which makes her drowsy and grumpy. And Amelie must have realised something was different… either that or she was a little constipated. Anyway, Amelie refused to sleep, refused to suckle properly, refused to play with her toys, refused to do anything unless it involved my carrying her around the house.
Meanwhile, groggy Estelle was also in a I-want-Mummy mood. So its “Mummy carry Estelle, no carry Amelie” THE ENTIRE AFTERNOON… NO ONE slept. grrrr. By evening, I was pretty grumpy myself. So I turned on the telly for Estelle, and turned on the cot mobile for Amelie, and hid.
Eventually Estelle fell asleep in front of the telly, and Erma took pity on Amelie and carried her until she slept. So after one afternoon’s worth of nonsense, both slept at 7.
That night, we let Estelle sleep with us… and she woke up at 3 am complaining of a sore throat. After a quick drink of some water, I tucked her back in bed, hoping she’ll fall asleep quickly… but the insomniac was up until about 5 am in pitch dark, tucked between I-can-sleep-through-anything DaddyO and I’m-pretending-to-sleep-and-I-hope-it-works Mummy. She was singing songs to herself, reciting nursery rhymes. And whenever she hears Amelie make any sound at all, she’ll say very loudly “Mummy, what’s that sound? Amelie wake up already, Mummy wake up, wake up!”
And after all that, everyone recovered by Wednesday morning… and it was my turn to get the running nose. And before I could fully recover, by Thursday, Estelle developed a sore throat and a dry cough (as a result of the haze enveloping us…) And even Amelie had a little cough. Thankfully both recovered by the weekend.
Anyway, all that is behind us now…
I’ve been busy making something for little Estelle…

Hope she likes it…

Mid-Autumn celebrations at the Clubhouse at 29 began with some wet fun. And later, it got pretty sizzling with the barbeque…

Happy Birthday Wenz and Jason!
Lucky little Estelle spent Children’s Day morning with her grandparents at SGCC. She was the only child at the children’s playpool that morning. What a fantastic water playground! It had slides, bridges, and there was water trickling from the bamboo poles.
DaddyO spent most of his time running after Estelle… it may not look like much, but it’s pretty tiring work. Haha. Grandpa who had to do the supervising every Monday morning was quite happy to relinquish the job to DaddyO.

Then it was off to the bigger pool for some swimming lessons.
That night, we went to Turf City for dinner at Ah Yat Seafood. Yoo hoo, what a feast. Estelle’s new word of the day? “LOBSTER!”
