Took Estelle for a much needed hair cut today at Jassmine’s Creative Salon.

We brought everything we thought could make Estelle sit still for the hair cut - food, pooh bear books, magazines, etc. But NONE was needed. Hahaha. She sat pretty for Aunty Jassmine…

And was the most cooperative little girl.
The lovely mirror in front of her helps! Hahaha. So perhaps Shakespeare got it all wrong. It should really be “Vanity, Thy name is woman!”
Speaking of vanity… I also took the opportunity to get myself a haircut!

Yipee!!!
Finally!
After my stressing about it for a few months, Estelle is getting the hang of the whole concept of going in the potty.
See little Panda over there? He is Estelle’s potty companion.
Everytime she needs to go, she acts out the scene from Maisy’s Bedtime where Maisy goes to the toilet with her toy Panda (who has his very own potty) as part of her bedtime routine… and she also wipes and flushes when she’s done. (This little scene has been fundamental in our toilet training!)
Estelle, the big Maisy fan, will do exactly just that, sit on the potty, wipe and flush. But she’ll need to do it, say, about 10 times before anything happens. Hahaha. But hey, I’m not complaining!
Thank goodness my parents recently went to the Panda Conservation Park in China (Jiuzhaigou) and bought her a toy Panda!
There’s been heavy thunderstorms here each afternoon. Although that means that we can’t really venture out in the evenings, it also means that we have lovely morning fresh air. So this morning, the gang took advantage of that and went to Upper Pierce Reservior for a walk…

Now… what can they be staring at? (Click on photo for details)

And Estelle’s keen ears also picked out something in the sky… (Click on photo…)

We also saw lizards and monkeys and heaps of flowers.
And now… family photos… heh heh.

Hello!!!
Estelle was really happy to be at the Gym today. She ran bog laps with Maria outside the gym before their session, about 8 “high-speed” rounds with continuous chatter. And that really took out quite a bit of her energy. Hahaha

And once inside, she was bouncing, bouncing, bouncing…

Here’s a photo of Estelle drawing circles with the ribbons.

Here’s Estelle doing some monkey tricks on the swing… she was barely in the seat for 3 seconds before demanding to get off. Looks like the charm of these swings are losing their effect on her. Luckily there were teachers around to watch her on the other equipment in the Gym.

And we say a fond farewell to Teacher Greta… she’s heading back for home. She was the first person we spoke to when I was interested in a trial at MyGym. And she and Teacher Ubin (he left for a another job a while back.) had taken a really keen interest in Estelle. Greta and I spent some time reminiscing, I can’t believe how time flies. We wish her the best in all that she does.
It’s Estelle’s weekly playdate with Summer this morning and it’s Muffin Day! Yipee…
Estelle was too excited when she saw me bring out all the ingredients and she cracked the egg into the bowl even before Summer turned up. When Summer got here, we donned on aprons, and go right into it. I think the girls had fun watching the egg, milk and flour disappear into this thick gooey cake mix.
I meant to take some photos of the kids stirring the mix but it was too chaotic and messy to bring out the camera. There were gooey bits everywhere! Hahaha. It was great fun. We kept popping by the oven to look at the progress every 5 minutes.

Yummy!!!
Celeste popped by too and she really enjoyed the muffin! I think Estelle had 4 before her afternoon nap!
We also did some colouring.

Can you guess which one is Estelle’s?
I’m teaching Estelle how to sing “Do you know the muffin man?” and each “muffin” was greeted with much cheer.
An interesting fact… The apple muffin was adopted as the New York State muffin in 1987. I didn’t know American states adopt muffins as state symbols…
Question: How many birthdays does a 3 year old boy need?
Answer: As many as his mum and aunts can conjure up!
SSAY bought this yummy brownie cake from Polar and after a very noisy dinner with the gorgeous Chua girls (we need to have more of these!) it’s cake time!
Here’s the happy happy boy!

And especially for Uncle Max, check out what Ah Ma did right after this. Oops!
DaddyO took leave before his trip and we decided to take the girls swimming.
