A trip to Ikea… and new rug!
I took the opportunity to visit the newly opened Ikea@Tampines while DaddyO was away… hahaha, well, not “newly opened” anymore.
It was great fun. We got there to a spacious carpark… with considerate lots for Mummies with Prams!!! I think it’s probably the first I’ve seen in Singapore and I really applaud that! And simply for that Ikea has already won brownie points in my book.
First stop: Lunch (read: yummy meatballs and fried chicken wings)
Then a toilet break… the reason why I’m mentioning this… is because one of the cubicles is fitted with child-friendly seat! WAH!!! Double brownie points!!! I’m starting to LOVE this store.
And lastly… they have a fantastic play area for those above 0.9m… the friendly staff looked after Estelle for an hour while I leisurely strolled about… what joy! I’m certainly visiting again.
And this store is definitely worth redecorating Estelle’s room for. Hahaha. Well, for a start… I threw out the old carpet and got a new one. It was tough choosing between this and another lush pretty red and orange rug… Practicality won in the end and I’m pleased to say that Estelle has spent quite a bit of time playing on this rug with her toy cars and trains, making an assortment of engine/vehicular noises. Ah well…
